CSR project raises over €3,200 for Limerick Autistic community.
In recent months, AMCS Group have supported the local autism community with their Corporate Social Responsibility project. Employees at AMCS Group headquarters in Crecora have chosen to support ‘Red Hill School’, a co-educational special school in Patrickswell, Co. Limerick, for pupils with ‘Autistic Spectrum Disorder’. The school currently supports 75 pupils with 14 teachers and 35 Special Needs Assistants.
A musical fund raising event was hosted by AMCS Group on Thursday 19th October, at The Loft, Locke bar in Limerick, in order to raise funds for ‘Red Hill School’.
The event itself was headlined by AMCS own band, Brigadoon, who are a traditional Irish band, and they were joined by a range of other talented musicians and performers. Contributions from ticket sales, raffle prizes and also a homemade bake sale, which set taste buds dancing, helped AMCS Group to raise over €1,600, which has since been generously matched by AMCS for a grand total of €3,200.
The school are due to receive much needed equipment from the funds in the coming weeks.
