Jimmy Martin

Jimmy Martin is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of AMCS, headquartered in Limerick, Ireland.  AMCS is a leading global technology provider in the waste, recycling and resource industries.  AMCS helps customers digitize their businesses to improve operational efficiencies, drive margin expansion, reduce business and operational risk, enhance their customer experience, and deliver environmental sustainability.

Jimmy has played a vital role in driving AMCS to exponential growth, from an early-staged start-up in 2003 to an internationally recognized business today which has grown both organically and through strategic acquisitions over the years.  The decade leading up to the launch of AMCS, Jimmy held key technical management positions, which led him to drive the direction and growth of his company. Today over 50% of his staff are devoted to the direction and development of the AMCS Platform – a cloud-based software solution designed for the environmental, utilities, waste, recycling and resource industries.

Jimmy is a technology evangelist in the environmental industry globally and a key influencer driving change and innovation in the market.  His passion and knowledge are shown in his mission to maximize technology and business processes to directly impact the global shift to a circular economy to be able to create a cleaner world.  Jimmy is a frequent speaker at key industry events and spotlighted in many industry media.

Freddie Kavanagh

As Chief Operating Officer (COO) at AMCS, Freddie is responsible for the global operations of the company. He brings more than 30 years of experience to AMCS with a focus on strategy execution, organizational development and driving annual recurring revenue growth.

Freddie joined AMCS in 2015 as General Manager for the EMEA business before being appointed to COO in 2020. Before joining AMCS, Freddie was VP and General Manager (Application Solutions) for Tektronix Communications (a Danaher Company) and was responsible for their go-to market strategy and driving a successful revamp of their product portfolio around the Telco CEM and Customer Care segments. Prior to that Freddie has held senior roles in a number of software and technology companies – he was Chief Development Officer at NewBay (subsequently acquired by RIM/Blackberry), CTO EMEA for Novell and was VP of Architecture Practice EMEA for Cambridge Technology Partners.

Noreen Cantillon

Noreen leads the HR function in AMCS, she has more than 10 years’ experience in HR management positions with multi-national companies.

Companies such as ALPS Electric and Cabletron Systems, and a further 10 years as a Senior HR Consultant across a brand range of industries.

She holds a Graduate Diploma in HR and is a qualified Executive Coach.

Dr. Eamon Hynes

Eamon joined the company in February 2007 and leads AMCS Technology Development.

Prior to joining AMCS, Eamon spent 20 years in the Electronics Industry where he held wide variety of Product Development, Engineering Management and Project Leadership roles in the United States, Ireland, Japan and Taiwan.

Eamon holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Trinity College, Dublin along with an MS and PhD in Electronics and Sensor Technology, from University College Cork. Eamon is an inventor on 14 granted patents in the USA and Europe.

Dr. Torsten Thurmann

As Director of EHSQ/ESG Product Business Unit and member of the Senior Leadership Team at AMCS Torsten ensures the right level of prioritization, focus and ownership in developing the EHSQ and ESG solutions further around the world and conquering new markets.

As Director Services & Consulting at Quentic (acquired by AMCS) Torsten previously lead Services Delivery, Customer Success and Content Services for all EHSQ and ESG solutions world wide.
He has two decades of experience in different roles and sectors having worked in Germany and England, focusing on sustainability and technology.

Leonard Dolan

Director of Business Systems & Processes

Leonard has a proven track record in business process development in the Technology industry having worked for Dell for 18 years.

He has delivered successful change initiatives through leading a diverse range of strategic global projects in Financial Services, Mergers and Acquisitions, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Materials Management and 3rd Party partners.

Leonard has a BSc (Hons) degree in Industrial Engineering and a first class honours Masters qualification in Project Management.

Mark Abbas

Mark is an IT executive with a track record of over 20 years in the Waste & Recycling industry.

As the CEO of GMT Europe, a company that was acquired by AMCS in 2016, he led the company to international growth and successfully completed a number of acquisitions.

Mark acted as an evangelist in the Waste & Recycling market working closely with the product teams to keep the IT solutions on the front line of innovation, designing new features and capabilities.

Elaine Treacy

Elaine joins the Senior Leadership team as Director of Product Management having held the position of Head of Sales for Western Europe over the last 3 years.

Elaine has played a key role in developing and supporting the customer base.

In her new role Elaine will be responsible for AMCS Waste Platform Product Management Globally.

Michael Winton

President, North America, AMCS

Michael leads AMCS business operations in the Americas.

He has over 20 years of global experience in high growth enterprise software, SaaS and solutions companies.

Michael joined AMCS from Lochbridge, where he was Chief Operating Officer. As COO, he led Sales, Marketing, Services Delivery and Customer Success at the Internet of Things solutions company. Prior to Lochbridge, Michael held Senior Vice President roles at MicroStrategy (MSTR), a business intelligence and analytics software company.

With responsibility across worldwide services and channels, he was part of the leadership team that grew revenues from $320m to $580m. Previously, Michael was Vice President of services and operations at PTC (PTC), a $1b+ product lifecycle management company.

He earned an MBA from Babson College.

Angela Schmidt

Angela Schmidt is the Chief Marketing Officer at AMCS, overseeing all global marketing functions including digital marketing, demand generation, operations, product marketing, field marketing, customer marketing, global events, vertical strategy, brand, analyst relations, content, and corporate communications. Angela has spent over 20+ years in various marketing leadership roles in the B2B technology space. Prior to joining AMCS, Angela served as VP, Global Marketing at Acquia, an open source digital experience company. Prior to that, Angela spent 16 years combined leading global marketing teams at Software AG and webMethods. Angela is passionate about building and empowering global marketing teams, establishing meaningful customer relationships and creating programs that deliver measurable revenue growth.

Angela enjoys travel, running and cooking. She has two children and lives with her family in Washington, DC.

Michael Bates

Michael heads up the AMCS business across the Asia Pacific region.

With over 20 years senior management experience in the technology space, Michael joined AMCS in 2018 from Telstra, where he was General Manager running a joint venture in video analytics and AI. Prior to Telstra, Michael ran the ANZ business as Regional Sales Director for Hikvision, taking the global CCTV solutions provider to number 1 in the market with over 300% growth in 2 years, and National Sales Manager for ADT Security (a division of Tyco) for over 7 years.

Michael holds a Master of Transport & Logistics degree from University of Sydney.

Lasse Jiborn

Lasse is responsible for Product Management and Development of Routing non-AMCS platform and Routing Sales Support Globally.

Lasse joined AMCS in April as Commercial Director of Intelligent Optimisation based out of Copenhagen.

Lasse  has experience in leading global teams where he held key roles in growing Newscycle Solutions from a small Swedish software company with 20 people, to a 400 person enterprise B2B SaaS solution provider to the media industry.

Florian Lichtwald

Operating Partner - EHSQ and ESG business units

Florian Lichtwald joined the AMCS team as the Operating Partner in June 2023, overseeing the EHSQ and ESG business units. Bringing a wealth of knowledge and over 15 years of experience in company building, consulting, and project management, Florian is passionate about harnessing technology's potential to foster a cleaner world. He is currently dedicated to advancing AMCS into the age of Performance Sustainability, driving growth and integrating sustainable practices within foundational industries.

Before joining AMCS, Florian served as the Managing Director and Chief Business Officer at Zeotap – a leading B2B Customer Data Platform solution. Here, he spearheaded significant business growth. Florian's experience also includes transformative roles at Porsche Consulting and IBM Deutschland. His expertise lies in expanding and transforming B2B SaaS organizations, with strong proficiency in digital transformation and building technology businesses. Florian holds diplomas in Engineering and Business Administration.
