According to the Automobile Association in the UK, average diesel prices on 8 March 2022 were £1.61 per litre (more than £7 per gallon for the first time) compared to £1.27 (or a 27% increase year on year) on the same day in 2021.
Prices may even rise higher with Brent Crude oil rising to $139 a barrel after the United States and European countries announcing measures to reduce use of Russian gas and oil. Brent Crude had been at $118 at the start of the day on 8 March 2022.
