Responsibilities
Developer equipped to perform both front-end and back-end operations suiting the platform requirements.
Aiding the company's vision of migrating the code base into new tech stack
Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
Identification of functional and non-functional requirements for upcoming implementation work
Collaborate with other developer teams to discuss migration strategy and ideas.
Work closely with fellow developers from other departments and project managers to create strong and effective applications.
Skills
Strong proficiency in PHP, including frameworks like Symfony/Laravel.
Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
Familiarity with RESTful APIs
Knowledge of modern authorisation mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
A knack for benchmarking and optimisation
Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git
Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools – JIRA, Confluence, etc.
Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, Software Development or equivalent.
5-10 years' experience in an Information Technology environment, specialising in Software Development, would be a distinct advantage.
Excellent communication and personal skills, able to communicate clearly, effectively, and form effective working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
High levels of drive and energy.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Enthusiasm and general interest in Software Development.
