Innovative Tech Company Opens New Netherlands Office Due to Growth in the Region

Netherlands – October 27th, 2022 -- AMCS, the leading global supplier of integrated software solutions for the environmental, waste, recycling and resource services industries, today announced the opening of its new Central European office at the Pharos building in Hoofddorp, Netherlands. The move brings together 60 current team members while the company recruits additional new talent to meet the demands of the company’s growth.

Mark Abbas, Managing Director of AMCS The Netherlands, said, “We’re very excited about this move, which will centralize and, at the same time, expand AMCS’ presence in Central Europe at a time when we are experiencing record growth and recruiting new talent.”

The new office combines staff and management from the current Rotterdam and Diemen locations and will boost collaboration across the Central Europe region. It brings together key AMCS management and open roles in the areas of marketing and sales. New hires include Roy Dekker as Head of Enterprise Sales EMEA for waste and recycling, Maiko Kemper as Support Manager for Central Europe, new implementation and support consultants and marketing staff. Also working from the new office: Mick Dodge is Head of Professional Services EMEA and Duco Poelman, who has accepted the position of Market Owner Netherlands. The location has a very strong team in the market.

Additionally, the new office is situated in the Pharos building, a building known for its work-life balance and sustainable, worker-centric design, with emphasis on an airy, healthy working environment that includes not only common areas for relaxing or conversation and meetings rooms for convenience, but also amenities with workers in mind, such as the ground-floor organic restaurant, the Farm Kitchen, and a common gymnasium, topped with a 19th-floor business lounge and sky bar. The Pharos is convenient to Hoofddorp’s many parks and its small-town vibe while also adjacent to ground, rail, and air transportation.

Speaking about the new team members and the new Central Europe office, Mark Abbas said, “AMCS is expanding rapidly on a global scale. This expansion ensures talent meets innovation and allows us to hire key team members who will play a part in our ambitious growth trajectory. Hoofddorp is an ideal transportation hub for commuters and business travelers, with a train station next to the new office and the Schiphol Airport 15 minutes away by rail. With the Hoofddorp location 15 km from downtown Amsterdam, will be convenient for both current and future AMCS team members.”
