Launch of AMCS Vision AI to improve resource quality

AMCS Vision AI is our artificial intelligence driven, computer vision solution designed to digitize images of resource streams and service events to provide operators with automated and continuous insight.

It consists of an AI monitoring unit and recording device which can be fitted and integrated into a variety of assets including collection vehicles and MRF plant equipment.

The AI Monitoring unit records images and our Artificial Intelligence/Machine learning engine automatically analyses then to detect target patterns (e.g. contamination, composition etc,) to provide alerts, insights and actions on the AMCS Platform portal.

The first use case for AMCS Vision AI is for Automated Contamination Management where it will detect contamination in recyclables at the point of collection and allow the operator to link the contamination to the address location of the waste producer.

New Smart Dispatch Features to Boost Fleet Productivity

In Smart Dispatch, we are adding a feature to view the real-time summary progress of a route. This summary view is particularly useful for monitoring high volume density routes (e.g., residential routes).

New Smart Dispatch Features to Boost Fleet Productivity

In Smart Dispatch, we are adding a feature to view the real-time summary progress of a route. This summary view is particularly useful for monitoring high volume density routes (e.g., residential routes) where it is not practical to view routes by individual stops. Instead, this new progress view shows the total amount of planned time including a percentage progress bar to show the real-time status of the completion of the route. This progress status can be rolled upwards to view progress by Depot, Team Board, Waste Type etc. so that the dispatcher can get a higher-level summary view across all operations.

In addition, this release sees delivers enhanced route optimization features for round work including:

  • Master Route optimization are now fully integrated into and fully accessible by Smart Dispatch.
  • New orders can be automatically assigned into the optimal service day, route and order sequence
  • Churn (e.g., new, cancelled orders etc.) on master routes is automatically managed on Master Routes
  • Option to work in manual order slotting mode for routes that are yet to be optimized

This is available initially in the Netherlands only.

This release also delivers the integration of payment acceptance at scale using an integrated AMCS Pay Point of Sale (PoS) terminal. This feature means that the payment card details will only need to be entered once into the AMCS Pay PoS terminal and AMCS Platform will be automatically updated, thus removing any effort for double entry and reconciliation, and reducing the risk of keying errors.
