about karlsberg brauerei

Founded in 1878, Karlsberg Brauerei is a large traditional German brewery based in Homburg, Saarland, which produces both beer and non-alcoholic beverages. The brewery is part of an association of independent companies, including Niehoffs Vaihinger Fruchtsaft and the Vendis Group. In total, the Karlsberg network employs 1,200 people, almost 260 of whom work at the Homburg site. Despite its size, Karlsberg is a family-owned business aiming to “hand down to future generations a company that is healthy in every respect.” As this philosophy highlights, safety culture remains a top priority for Karlsberg.

certification for sustainable success

AMCS EHS Management makes it easy to undertake risk assessments and complete training, which is vital to maintain safety standards. With access to the AMCS platform, managers can see all qualifications and upcoming occupational health examinations, while employees receive handy invitations and reminders directly via email. The software also ensures that all qualifications are documented in full. This evidence is key to obtaining certification under relevant standards such as the International Featured Standard (IFS), OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001. Working to document standards in this way helps sustain safety as part of a successful performance sustainability model.

Today, we can always look to AMCS to see what percentage of employees have been trained or received instruction in a given area. Our plant managers also ask for these figures every month, and the answer is only ever a click away.
